Our church community is grateful to share in the lives of the residents of Peacham and its surrounding towns and villages. This area of Vermont, also known as the Northeast Kingdom, is one of the most remote but the most beautiful areas of the world. The rich social, cultural, and natural heritage of this region culminates with the many unique people, events, and organizations that are home to Peacham. Several times during the year, we are pleased to share The Meeting House with the following events and organizations:
The Peacham Café is a community-supported enterprise. It is operated by a Manager who rents the space, and is owned and maintained for the benefit of the community by the Peacham Café LLC. It is open seasonally and serves breakfast and lunch.
It has been said that Peacham is the most photographed town in New England. In its September 2005 issue, Yankee Magazine designated Peacham as the best village in New England. "Of all the villages in New England, Peacham (population 665) is unsurpassed." We hope that you will enjoy your visit to our web page and that you will come for a real life visit, too. (Bring your camera!)
The Peacham Elementary School is a community of learners and teachers dedicated to developing the ability of each individual to think and communicate clearly, to explore the world, to make responsible decisions, and to have concern for the common good.
Their mission is to celebrate and preserve the rich history of Peacham, Vermont. Their website will give you an overview of the Historical Association’s collections, publications, programs and other offerings.
For many years, the Peacham Congregational Church has hosted the concerts for the North Country Church.
Peacham Library is a 208 year-old, incorporated library. They are open six days a week to provide services to members of the Peacham community and all who enter their doors.
The Peacham Acoustic Music Festival is also a blend of the old and the new - roots music from the Celtic traditions, old time fiddle tunes, and a touch of blues and bluegrass - not to mention The Dance!! We strive to provide the finest in local and national talent - check out our Performers page for the who's who of the people that will lead our concerts, workshops, jam sessions and dance!
